it's funny how we were just talking yesterday. ren remarked, my using the pen knife to sharpen my colour pencil is a try to be different. haha it's funny, because it's just the oppo. all artsy students use the pen knife. being an art student has changed the way i do certain things.

i no longer own sharpeners, i own pen knifes (: i carry one almost everywhere. oh and everyone owns NT cutters.

when starting a new drawing, instinctively you'll think of using charcoal instead of 2bs. development sketches are redrawn with drawing pens before filing up.

when you buy plain paper, it must be, it must be layout pads. oosh, and a4s certainly do look like a5s now, and who ever said a2 is huge is certainly wrong.

packs of 36 colours is way too little, buy 72, you'll find it still not enough. markers do not cost 20 bucks a set, they cost 5 bucks each, 188 a set.

you'll start picking up ish & idn & all sorts of visual zines to read. and of course you'll start critising, that ad sucks, this sucks, that sucks. and yeah you have to admit happy grapes do make you feel better.

oh and must haves are fixatives, spray mount, uhu & masking tape.

uh yes, and it's always about extra work to pay for materials. and apple is good. apple is always good and nice (:
